Skeletal reconstruction is the term used to describe re-assembly of bones (and fragments of bones), to create a full or partial skeleton from fossil remains. It ranges from piecing together a single bone from hundreds of crumbled fragments (see also ‘fossil preparation’ link) to the assembly of a complete animal skeletons. Although the Palcoprep name suggests fossil reconstruction, we also do articulation of “modern” skeletons from small rodents, to full-size whale skeletons. No reconstruction task is too large or too small.
